Physical Therapy Jeffrey Taylor PT, DPT, OCS, SCS, CSCS
Dr. Jeffrey Taylor is an Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Physical Therapy at HPU. His current responsibilities include identifying clinical sites as internship opportunities for future physical therapy students. In addition to his role in the Department of Physical Therapy, he is actively involved in teaching Human Anatomy to undergraduates at HPU. Clinically, Dr. Taylor is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in the areas of both Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy. His clinical experience has allowed him to treat individuals with musculoskeletal injuries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, ankle, and knee and has worked with athletes from various sports including basketball, baseball and volleyball. He also has experience in administration after having managing multiple outpatient physical therapy clinics near his hometown in Upstate New York. Dr. Taylor is concurrently pursuing a PhD in Kinesiology in the Applied Neuromechanics Research Laboratory at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His current research focuses on the prevention anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears in an adolescent population. In addition to ACL pathology, Dr. Taylor is interested in the prevention of other sports related injuries to the upper and lower extremity and plans on studying sports-specific biomechanics and performance in the Human Biomechanics and Physiology Laboratory.
